Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions you may have on all the features and functionalities of the Curriculum Mapping section on Exxat Prism
Question: Can schools edit the grading scale for each course?
Answer: Typically, grading scales for a letter grade are set at the School/University level and are not changed from course to course. However, you may have courses that either follow a letter grade or a Pass/Fail scale. This selection is available at the course offering level under the course-about section. When you select the course type as Pass/Fail, the Letter grading scale does not appear on the course page.
Question: Is it possible to remove the standards from the pre-populated list that schools do not want to use?
Answer: The accreditation standards are pre-populated, and if you do not wish to use them, do not activate them. They are just housed in the system and will only be applicable if activated.
Question: Can schools upload their template for the generate syllabus feature?
Answer: No, we do not have a template for generating syllabi for each school today.
Question: Is there a functionality to import all course details using the template or bulk feature?
Answer: We do not have bulk import functionality today.
Question: Where are the standards activated?
Answer: The standards are activated under program details, however, they can only be mapped if configured for a curriculum grid on the mapping setup page.
Question: How can schools add more attributes and activate them?
Answer: Attributes can be added under the curriculum mapping page. They have to be configured under mapping setup for each curriculum grid.
Question: Can the attributes be customized?
Answer: Yes, the attributes are customizable.
Question: Do schools have to manually enter data each year? Can it be rolled over?
Answer: With the help of the cloning feature, the manual efforts reduce. When schools use the clone curriculum feature, all their mapping data can be cloned to a new curriculum. Schools can always modify the mappings on the newly cloned curriculum.
Question: Can schools change the course name for one cohort only?
Answer: Yes, under course catalog, when you change the name, before saving, select the checkbox "Do you wish to update course offerings?" and pick one cohort only.
Question: What is the benefit of adding Event schedule in the system?
Answer: It allows you to add the lecture schedule and topics for each course and link them to your measures to view a detailed report. Event schedule when entered can also be included in the course syllabus using the 'generate syllabus' feature.
